Just before his arrest, Jesus took Peter, James, and John into the Garden of Gethsemane and asked them to stay and keep watch with Him. Then Jesus went a little beyond them, fell on his face, and prayed, “My father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will but as You will. In the garden Jesus prayed three times. As he prayed, He drew on God’s strength. Three times He went to His disciples and asked them to keep watch with Him.
