Black Ministry in the LCMS

The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Black Ministry provides encouragement, assistance, advocacy, and works with 35 LCMS districts, congregations and schools in minisrty to people of African-American descent and other ethnic cultures. It provides faithfulness to theology that is contextual and holistic, touching lives with the Gospel through mercy care. Today we’ll learn more about the LCMS and how it reaches and equips people to serve and witness in today’s world. My guest is Rev. Roosevelt Gray, Jr. He’s the director of the LCMS Black Ministry.

Family Shield Ministries, hosted by Kay Meyer, was a self-supporting and self-governing ministry, and a Recognized Service Organization (RSO) of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. All references to addresses and phone numbers are now obsolete.
