Family Shield Ministries will present Rev. Roger Sonnenberg with the “Family Leadership Award” at the October 10, 2015 “Families Worship Him” Benefit Dinner. You, along with his family, friends, church members, and former students, are invited to send a card, letter of thanks, note of encouragement, and/or congratulations. Pictures are also welcome. Sonnenberg has been an advocate for the Gospel and family-life ministry throughout his career. He has been dedicated to ‘equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ’ (Ephesians 4:12). Sonnenberg serves as chairman of the Board of Directors of Family Shield Ministries, taught family life graduate classes at Concordia University, Seward, Nebraska, and Concordia University, Irvine, California, served as the 1st Vice President of the Pacific Northwest District, authored many Christian books and resources, and served as pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Arcadia, California for over 30 years. He retired from Our Savior in April of 2015.
