God’s Word—Inspired by God!
Miriam stood bravely in front of her college public speaking class. She was prepared to give her first three-minute speech. Her assignment had been to present a topic that meant a lot to her. She'd chosen God's Word-Inspired by God.
Would you have the courage to do what Miriam did? She was afraid. But she had prayed and asked the Lord to give her the words to speak. Hadn’t He promised to provide the words in the hour that we need them? And God kept His promises.
The Bible tells us that “all Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” As Christians, we need to be in the Word. The options are endless.
Read the Bible at home. Get involved in a congregational Bible study. Meditate on a Bible verse. Read your daily devotions. As you do, God will equip you to do the work (Eph. 2:10) He has prepared you to do.
Jesus is the light of the world. His light shines on us through the Bible. He is the living Word of God. He came to give us life with Him on earth and everlasting life with Him in heaven.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for Your Word, a lamp and a light for our lives. Help us shine for You. Amen.

Saturday, October 16, 2021. Kay Meyer, president and host of Family Shield, will be the speaker at the Concordia Zone LWML Fall Rally at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall, Missouri. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The theme is Balance When Life Seems Overwhelming. This theme is taken from the Bible study Balance-Christ Filled Living that Kay Meyer wrote for LWML. Radio Expansion Pilot Partnership Announced
Family Shield Ministries will begin a three-month pilot project on September 11, 2021 to expand the Family Shield radio program to KGLB AM/FM in Glencoe, Minnesota in partnership with the Glencoe LLL Zone Board and supporters. The Family Shield program will air at 9:30 a.m. every Saturday. Please keep this project in your prayers.
Family Shield Ministries Recognized Service Organization (RSO) status has again been renewed by The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod.
We have been an RSO since 1997. Join us in praising the Lord!
