Family Shield Ministries will work with you to help meet your needs for a speaker at a rally, convention, Bible study, worship service, school, college/university, or at a workshop/seminar. A variety of formats are available from a single presentation to a multi-day series of workshops. Kay MeyerKay L. Meyer

is the founder and president of Family Shield Ministries. She has over 40 years of experience in evangelism, education, and family ministry. Meyer is a frequent consultant, speaker and author on family life, spiritual growth, apologetics, and learning to witness. Samples publications include: Witnessing - A Lifestyle (FSM, 2008); Family Ministry Basics (CPH, 2006); Mission Field on Our Doorstep: Jehovah's Witnesses (Family Shield, 2004); Teaching Your Children Christian Values (CPH, 1996); Balance: Christ Filled Living (LWML); and contributions to Portals of Prayer, Teacher's Interaction, Concordia Pulpit Resources, and My Devotions. Meyer has a Master of Arts Degree in Media Communication from Webster University, St. Louis and, a Bachelor of Science in Education. She and her husband, Tjaden (Chad), have been married over 40 years, have three grown children, three grandchildren, and are members of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood, Missouri.   • Lodging: Quiet non-smoking hotel room.
  • Honorarium: Although Kay Meyer is the founder and president of Family Shield Ministries she receives a portion of her salary from speaking engagements. Therefore, the organization asks that sponsoring groups provide an honorarium. Honorariums depend upon the time, event, number of days, and location.
  • Meals: $35 per day unless other arrangements are made.
  • Other: A lectern will be needed. Normally also a flip chart and markers. Also a table for the exhibit and resources.

His Little Lambs

His Little Lambs Ministry shares the "Good News" of Jesus with children and others through puppet shows and/or variety shows. In their shows they feature puppets, juggling, ventriloquism, dancing, fiddle, guitar, and flute playing, singing, and lots of audience participation. Karen Anders and her son Timothy have been busy performing for the past 14 years at schools, churches, for senior citizen groups, LWML, camps, libraries, and for special occasions. Karen is a graduate of Concordia, Seward, has taught in Lutheran schools, and has a masters degree in early childhood education. Timothy has won numerous awards for his juggling and his ventriloquist acts in Branson, Missouri. His Little Lambs is now booking shows for fall, winter, and for 2011. JOY-spirations for Caregivers

Annetta Dellinger a Joyologist, is the founder of Joyful Ministries and assists the Caring Hearts Ministry which rejuvenates weary souls. She has over 30 years of experience in international speaking, has authored 31 books, co-authored 3 and contributed to 11. Her books are for children and adults with her most recent co-authored releases with Karen Boerger being: JOY-spirations for Caregivers, Blessings and Prayers for Caregivers and Blessings and Prayers for Those with Cancer. Annetta's mission statement is to encourage and equip women to find hope in all situations from the real source of JOY, Jesus Christ.The JOY Lady, whose PHD stands for Perky Happy Disciple, has been an editor for the Lutheran Women's Quarterly Magazine for eight years, served on numerous national and district Lutheran Women's Missionary league (LWML) committees, and authored Mug Meditations, Lead Me, Lord, Through Motherhood and many other resources for national LWML. While consulting for LCMS Early Childhood Education and CPH Vacation Bible School, she wrote for My Devotions and Interaction. Annetta served nine years on the Board of Trustees - Ohio District Mission Services, and six years as national Public Relations Director of Laborers for Christ (LCMS). She directed/taught pre-kindergarten in a Lutheran School for 23 years, attended Wittenberg University and graduated from Bank Street College in Early Childhood Education. "I love working for the Lord and especially infusing His JOY which is our strength!" says Annetta. Annetta lives near Plain City, OH, has 2 children, 4 grandchildren and has been married to John for 50 years. Karen Boerger

Karen enjoyed a 24-year career in education with 23 of those years in Lutheran schools. She became principal in 1992 at St. Paul Lutheran School, Milford Center, OH, and taught a combined classroom of 5th, 6th, and 7th graders until her retirement in 2007. During the time that she taught, she also was a family caregiver six different times. In her second career following her retirement, Karen has become a very active and successful speaker and author in the area of family caregiving. Karen founded Caring Hearts Ministry in 2009, inspired by and growing out of her personal experiences in caring for loved ones.  She has since then become a dedicated advocate for family caregivers. She has spoken around the country primarily aimed at educating and equipping caregivers to cope with the emotional challenges and frustrations that can accompany the daily care of loved ones. She provides hope and support through stress management techniques to improve the caregivers' emotional and spiritual wellness. Karen has co-authored three books with Annetta Dellinger. They are JOY-spirations for Caregivers (Wine Press, 2010), Blessings and Prayers for Caregivers (Concordia Publishing House, 2010), and Blessings and Prayers for Those with Cancer (Concordia Publishing House, 2011), has written newspaper articles highlighting caregiving, and has contributed to several book compilations. In addition, she hosts a monthly caregiver support group for Union County Senior Services, writes a monthly newsletter, Nuggets of Hope, for caregivers, and contributes to a widely-read blog, Thinking About Suicide. She has been interviewed on radio talk shows in the U.S. and Canada, including Focus on the Family and Woman to Woman with Phyllis Wallace, as well as online TV shows such as Heritage of Truth. Karen is a member of the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association (AWSA), an association of mutually supportive Christian authors and speakers.
